OUR TRADE

As we care about the work done by our two families – grape growers for 5 and 3 generations in the Côte des Blancs and the Marne valley – and desiring to preserve what nature has given us, we personally perform all the work from the trimming to the picking. (we are certified since november 2019 Haute Valeur Environnementale Niveau 3 et Viticulture Durable en Champagne – High Environmental value and Sustainable grape growing in the Champagne region).

As cooperative growers, we take great care in working our vines and soil to bring quality grapes to the wine presses. All our parcelles are sown with grass in each row with special care to preserve and respect the ecosystems surrounding our parcelles : embankments, planting and maintaining hedges, paths.

We are particularly cautious concerning the soil of our parcelles and since 2016 have been working on securing and developing the microbial life hidden there – an essential asset for the natural growth of the vineyards while reducing the inputs.

Grape-picking, the peak time of the year, comes to reward the work accomplished. It is the result of one year full of ordeals (Spring frost, hailstones, drought, cryptogamic diseases, etc.) It is a key step we manage in the traditional way, as our ancestors used to do it. Our team of grape-pickers – most of them regulars – are accommodated for over a week on our premises. They are well-skilled and aware of our know-how selecting and respecting the grapes which are brought to the wine presses.

As for sales, we mostly deal in France and Italy and, since 2017, we have been developing our presence in Los Angeles – California, with the help of the talented feminine team of Thetisandthor (namely, Agatha and Rose).

We have at our disposal (except, of course, during the grape picking season) the press house  (5 bedrooms, top quality bedding, 3 bathrooms/toilets, one fitted kitchen, one terrace opening onto a fabulous landscape and a private carpark), all ready to welcome you and help you discover the Champagne area and the Marne valley.
